How to compare Pokemon TCG pull rates
Pull rates are useful, but they do not tell the whole story. They make the most sense next to current pack prices. This index currently has 53 expansions with pull-rate data.
Short version: Pokemon TCG pull rates
- Use pull-rate pages when you want to compare opening odds by expansion.
- Pair those odds with price per booster if you care about cost per hit.
- Use set guides when you also need current products, vendors, and availability.
Pokemon TCG pull rates by expansion
A pull-rate page estimates how often different rarities show up in packs. It does not tell you whether a product is cheap.
For buying decisions, put the odds next to price per booster and cost per hit.
Pull rates and price per booster
A set with better odds can still be a weak buy if packs are expensive. A cheaper set can be more attractive even with lower odds.
That is why detail pages show products next to rarity odds when price data exists.
Pull-rate page vs set price guide
Use pull-rate pages when the question is about opening odds.
Use set guides when the question is which sealed product to buy inside one expansion.
