Europe guide 路 EUR prices and European shops
Buying guideWhere to buy Pokemon cards in Ireland
Learn where to buy Pokemon cards in Ireland, compare Irish and EU shops, Cardmarket shipping, imports, and sealed prices in EUR.
We compare pack math with shipping, seller count, and the reason you might want the product.
Read how the numbers are builtIf you want to know where to buy Pokemon cards in Ireland, start with the official Pokemon Event Locator or an established Irish retailer. Use shops elsewhere in the EU when you want more sealed offers, and use Cardmarket for specific singles or older products. Compare the final price in EUR, delivery, product language, and dispatch country before paying.
This guide focuses on the Republic of Ireland. Northern Ireland follows a different customs and Pokemon Center route because it is part of the United Kingdom. Do not treat an address in Dublin and one in Belfast as the same checkout.
PokeCompare does not have an Ireland-only seller filter. Use the Pokemon TCG prices Europe hub as a sealed-price benchmark, then confirm stock, delivery, and the final total on the seller's site.
| Buying need | Best place to start | Main check |
|---|---|---|
| Local packs, events, or a prerelease | Pokemon Event Locator and a nearby League shop | Current stock and event entry |

| More sealed offers | Specialist shops elsewhere in the EU | Delivery to Ireland and final checkout total |
| One single card | Irish card shop or Cardmarket | Exact card, condition, seller, and shipping |
| Older sealed products | Specialist shop or marketplace | Item photos, seal, seller history, and buyer protection |

Where to buy Pokemon cards in Ireland
I would check one local option, one Irish online shop, and one EU offer. That gives you an in-person stock check and two delivered prices. A marketplace comes later when normal shops do not have the exact single or older sealed item you want.
Find a local Pokemon card shop
Play! Pokemon tells players to use its Event Locator to find local game stores and their League dates. This is a better starting point than an old shop list because event venues and schedules can change.
Search by town or postcode, then contact the shop before travelling. Ask about the exact expansion, product type, stock, and event entry. A League listing confirms an organised play location. It does not promise that a booster box or ETB is on the shelf today.
Check current Irish retailers
Large toy retailers and specialist card shops serve different needs. Smyths Toys Ireland has a Pokemon TCG category for current retail products. PokeShop IE lists English booster packs and singles and states that it operates from County Offaly.
These are named starting points, not endorsements or a complete Irish shop list. Check the legal seller name, contact details, stock label, delivery terms, and returns page each time. A current product page is more useful than a shop name copied from an old forum post.
The PokeShop IE page checked on September 2, 2026 lists English Pokemon TCG products. Still, an Irish shop address does not prove that every item is English. Read the product title and description, especially when the same set also has Japanese or other language editions.
Compare shops elsewhere in the EU
An EU seller can be useful when Irish stock is thin or a sealed product costs less after delivery. Match the same expansion, product type, language, and condition before comparing prices.
Goods already based in Ireland or another EU country do not face import customs duty when sent to an Irish buyer, according to Irish Revenue. The shop still needs to deliver to your address, and cross-border delivery can erase a small product discount.
Republic of Ireland vs Northern Ireland
The Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland use different buying routes. Check the delivery address and the place where the parcel starts.
| Delivery address | Shopping point | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Republic of Ireland | Irish and EU orders follow the EU shopping route | EUR checkout total, dispatch country, delivery, and returns |
| Northern Ireland | The address is in the United Kingdom | Convert the full offer to EUR and check the seller's local terms |
| Republic of Ireland ordering from Great Britain | The parcel enters the EU from outside it | Import VAT, the current customs duty, carrier charges, and returns |
Pokemon Center UK says it ships only to United Kingdom addresses. That includes Northern Ireland, but not the Republic of Ireland. The Pokemon Center Europe shipping guide covers the regional stores and their delivery limits.
A .ie address or an EUR product price does not prove that goods start in Ireland. The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission tells buyers to check a site's terms because a .ie address does not guarantee that the business is Irish. Irish Revenue gives the same warning about the location of the goods.
Compare Irish and EU Pokemon card shops
Use the same check for each seller:
- Match the expansion, product type, language, and pack count.
- Check whether the item is in stock, on preorder, or on backorder.
- Find the legal business name, physical address, and contact details.
- Enter your Irish delivery address and record the full EUR total.
- Read the dispatch estimate and return address.
- Check recent seller feedback where the site supports it.
- Save the listing and order confirmation until the parcel arrives.
If a seller uses a stock photo for an older booster box, ask for photos of the exact item. The sealed product condition guide explains how to check the wrap, corners, panels, and labels.
Pokemon Support warns that fake booster packs can be hard to spot and treats a price far below suggested retail as a strong counterfeit warning. A low price is not proof of a fake, but it is a reason to inspect the seller and listing more closely. Use the fake Pokemon card guide before buying from an unknown source.
Use Cardmarket for singles and older products
Cardmarket is often more useful for one exact card, a graded card, or sealed stock that normal shops no longer carry. Match the set, collector number, language, finish, and condition. For sealed products, also check item photos and whether the listing names the exact product version.
Cardmarket says its shipping calculation uses the origin country, destination country, weight, and dimensions. Several cheap cards from several sellers can create several delivery charges. Compare a smaller basket from one seller with the same cards split across many sellers.
The item price shown in a search result does not include everything. Open the basket and compare the order total in EUR. The Cardmarket safety guide covers seller ratings, shipping methods, buyer protection, and problem orders.
Compare the delivered price in EUR
Use the amount that reaches checkout:
delivered price = product price + delivery + payment fees
For a sealed product with a known pack count:
delivered price per booster = delivered price / booster count
This example uses teaching prices, not current market quotes.
| Booster box offer | Irish shop | EU shop |
|---|---|---|
| Product price | 168.00 EUR | 157.00 EUR |
| Delivery and fees | 0.00 EUR | 14.00 EUR |
| Delivered price | 168.00 EUR | 171.00 EUR |
| Booster packs | 36 | 36 |
| Delivered price per booster | 4.67 EUR | 4.75 EUR |
The EU shop lists the box for 11 EUR less, but the Irish offer costs 3 EUR less after delivery. For live pack math, compare the result with the best price per booster in Europe.
A free-delivery threshold can also distort the choice. Adding a 12 EUR item to avoid a 6 EUR delivery fee still raises the order by 6 EUR. Add the item only if you wanted it before seeing the threshold.
Check Irish online shopping and import rules
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission says an online business must provide its name, physical address, contact details, product and delivery information, total price, extra charges, and cancellation terms before purchase.
For most goods bought online from an Irish or EU business, an Irish buyer has 14 days from receipt to cancel without giving a reason, then another 14 days to return the goods. Exceptions apply, the buyer may pay return postage, and purchases from private sellers do not carry the same rights. Read the terms before opening a sealed product and keep a written record if anything arrives damaged or does not match the listing.
Imports need a separate calculation. Irish Revenue says that from July 1, 2026, goods valued at up to 150 EUR and sent from outside the EU, including Great Britain, generally face a 3 EUR customs duty per tariff-classified item. VAT and any carrier charge remain separate. There is no import customs duty when the goods are based in Ireland or another EU country when ordered.
Use the Pokemon cards import tax guide for the item-count rule, VAT, dispatch-country checks, and worked examples. Do not compare an import with an Irish offer until every known cost uses EUR.

Play! Pokemon's getting started guide directs players to the Event Locator for local game stores and League dates. Pokemon Center's UK FAQ confirms that the store ships only to United Kingdom addresses. Pokemon Support lists its current counterfeit card and booster pack checks.
Ireland's Competition and Consumer Protection Commission explains online shopping information and cancellation rights. Irish Revenue explains the July 2026 customs rule for goods sent from outside the EU. Cardmarket explains how it calculates shipping costs and delivery times.
Retailer pages only show their own current claims and stock. PokeCompare does not inspect or endorse each shop and does not know the delivery cost to an Irish postcode. FAQ
Where can I buy Pokemon cards in Ireland?
Use the official Pokemon Event Locator to find local League shops. For online orders, compare an established Irish retailer with a specialist elsewhere in the EU. Cardmarket suits specific singles and older sealed products. Match the language and condition, then compare the delivered EUR price before paying.
Does Pokemon Center UK ship to the Republic of Ireland?
No. Pokemon Center's July 2026 UK FAQ says it ships only to United Kingdom addresses. Northern Ireland is included, but the Republic of Ireland is not. Republic buyers should compare Irish and EU retailers that confirm delivery to their address and show the full checkout cost.
Is it cheaper to buy Pokemon cards from another EU country?
It can be, but the product price does not settle the choice. Match the same expansion, product type, language, and condition, then add delivery and payment fees. In the worked example, the EU box lists 11 EUR lower but costs 3 EUR more after delivery.
Does PokeCompare show Ireland-only Pokemon card shops?
No. PokeCompare compares live sealed-product offers in EUR, but it does not filter sellers by country or calculate delivery to an Irish postcode. Use the Europe hub as a market benchmark, then open the seller page and confirm dispatch location, stock, delivery, and final checkout total.
Can I buy English Pokemon cards in Ireland?
Yes. The PokeShop IE page checked on September 2, 2026 lists English Pokemon TCG products. Check each product title because the same shop may also sell Japanese or other language editions. Match the expansion and language before comparing prices, and ask the seller when a listing is unclear.
Do I pay customs on Pokemon cards sent to Ireland?
Goods already based in Ireland or another EU country do not face import customs duty. Goods sent from outside the EU use the import route. Since July 1, 2026, eligible consignments up to 150 EUR generally face a 3 EUR duty per tariff-classified item, with VAT and carrier charges separate.
How do I find a Pokemon card shop near Dublin, Cork, or Galway?
Open the Pokemon Event Locator and search by town or postcode. Check each venue's League and event details, then contact the shop before travelling. A locator result does not confirm today's hours, stock, event entry, or whether the exact booster box, ETB, or single you want is available.
For an Irish sealed order, I start with one local price and one EU price, then add delivery. I use Cardmarket when I need an exact single or an older product. The right item at the lower complete EUR cost wins, even when another shop shows a lower product-page number.
